What is captured
Your voice (microphone), the voice of the people you talk to (computer audio) and, only when you ask for a screen analysis, a screenshot.
ALDO listens only during a session or a check you start and uses only sound: no continuous screen recording, a capture only when you ask for it.
Where it is processed
Your audio goes from your Mac directly to the transcription service, with a temporary key issued by ALDO; ALDO does not store it.
The text of your transcripts, your documents and, when you ask for a screen analysis, the screenshot are sent to AI providers acting as sub-processors, after your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your content is stored encrypted: transcripts, answers, summaries and the text of the excerpts from your documents, with a key specific to each account.

How long it is kept
- Audio
- Not kept by ALDO.
- Transcripts, answers and summaries
- 12 months after the session, then deleted automatically, or earlier if you delete them.
- Screenshots
- 24 hours at most.
- Documents
- As long as you keep them, then 7 days after you delete them.
- Account
- 30 days to change your mind, then your content is deleted.
- Purchases
- The accounting records linked to your purchases are kept in accordance with the legal retention obligation.
Your controls
- Mute or restore the microphone (⌃⇧M) and the computer audio (⌃⇧N).
- Pause capture or end the session whenever you wish.
- Withdraw ALDO's permissions at any time in System Settings.
- Delete a session, a document or a CV from your space.
- Export your data: a JSON archive sent by e-mail.
- Delete your account, with 30 days to change your mind.
- Withdraw your consent to third-party AI processing at any time.
On this site and in the macOS application
This site uses no cookies or trackers. The macOS application includes no audience measurement tool; technical error reports may be sent, filtered before sending, with no personal data by default, and disabled until a configuration is provided.
